CARING FOR YOUR:
GARDEN STAKES
Our garden keepsakes are designed for outdoor use and can be installed and enjoyed straight away.
​
While they’re made to be durable, they’re not indestructible, and a little care will help them remain in excellent condition.
Please take care when mowing nearby and when inserting the stake into firm, clay, or rocky soil. For clay & harder ground, we recommend loosening the soil first with a hand shovel to reduce stress and prevent bending.

To ensure transparency, please note that damage caused by excessive force or improper installation is not considered a manufacturing fault.
MOUNTING YOUR:
WALL ART & PROPERTY SIGNAGE
When it comes to displaying your keepsake, mounting your piece is easy - even if DIY isn’t really your thing, or if you’re in a rental where drilling’s off the table.
Depending on where you’re displaying your piece, you can use picture hooks, metal wire ties, zip ties, or even fencing clips to attach it securely - perfect for fences, gates, or outdoor walls.
If you’re after something more permanent, our 1.6mm steel is also strong enough to weld, but still thin enough to screw in easily with a regular drill.

​If you’ve selected our natural rusted finish, we recommend using nylon spaces if mounting to light surfaces, to prevent staining during the initial weathering process.
CARING FOR YOUR FINISH:
RUSTED PATINA
What a beautiful choice!

Our team has started the rusting process for you, so that once exposed to the elements, your keepsake will continue to develop its rich, natural finish.
​
When you are satisfied with the appearance, you may apply a protective coat of Penetrol (available in the paint-preparation section of most hardware stores) to preserve the finish.
​
For ongoing protection, reapply Penetrol annually to seal the surface and help prevent further rusting. If you prefer the
patina to evolve naturally with the seasons, this preservation treatment is not required.
CARING FOR YOUR FINISH: MATTE BLACK
Our team at Mia Cooper & Co wants your beautiful piece to be enjoyed for years to come.

To help maintain its original look and keep it looking just as special in five years as it does on day one, we recommend applying a protective treatment with Penetrol once a year (available in the paint-prep aisle of most hardware stores).
​
If your keepsake is displayed indoors or under cover, this annual treatment isn’t necessary.
